There are many idols that compete for our affection, but Jesus wants us to put our hope in Him who is faithful.

1)What stands out to you from the sermon?
2.) How do you or your family get ready for Christmas? Does “waiting” play any role in this?
3.) People look to idols like comfort, approval, control and power to make them happy. Do you feel susceptible to any of these? What is it that draws you in?
4.) What happens to people when their idols let them down?
5.) How does letting God down differ from letting an idol down? Think about things like forgiveness, redemption and God’s faithfulness.
6.) What practical answer does Hebrews 10 call us to when it comes to living in the hope we were created for? What might this look like for you? (vs 19-23)
